One Act and Full Length Easter Festival of Plays Schedule 19-25 April 2025

The Manx Amateur Drama Federation presents the 75th Anniversary of the Easter Festival, which begins with a weekend of One Act plays, including both matinee and evening performances. This is followed by a week of Full Length plays, evenings only.

One Act Festival Weekend

  • Parodos Theatre Company: Theodora by Gemma Varnom
  • Service Players: Losing it by Derek Webb

Full Length Play Festival Week

Monday 21 April at 7:30pm

  • Wellington Theatre Company: Blithe Spirit by Noël Coward

Tuesday 22 April at 7:30pm

  • White Cobra Productions: Our Man in Havana by Clive Francis

Wednesday 23 April at 7:30pm

  • Garden Suburb Theatre: Holding the Man by Tommy Murphy

The Festival fosters a sense of community and participation among local and off-island theatre groups. It celebrates the heritage and highlights the rich history of Manx amateur theatre over the past 75 years.

Plays are followed by a nightly adjudication by a member of The Guild of Drama Adjudicators. After which there will be an opportunity for the directors, actors and crew to meet and discuss the adjudication with them at the Green Room, a nightly social occasion open to all groups and audience members.
