SHOW DESCRIPTION

Celebrate the first day of the Isle of Man’s TT race week and take a high speed detour for some full-throttle laughing with The Comedy Pit Stop in VillaGaiety’s Royal Hall. This one night only stand up comedy special is brought to you VillaGaiety in conjunction with Avalon Comedy, one of the UK’s leading live comedy producers.

This top tier line up of comedy talent will feature Phil Wang, Lucy Beaumont and Pierre Novellie alongside your host for the evening, Chloe Petts:

Phil Wang 

A global stand-up performer whose first Netflix special, Philly Philly Wang Wang was released in 2021. His second Netflix special Wang in There Baby, followed in September 2024 following a word tour. He’s also performed stand-up on Late Night with Seth Meyers (NBC). His first book “Sidesplitter: How to be from Two Worlds at Once” was named a Times and Sunday Times Book of the Year. Other notable tv credits include Inside Amy Schumer(Comedy Central), Life & Beth (Hulu), The Comedy Line-Up (Netflix), Taskmaster (Channel 4), Live at the Apollo(BBC2) and has made ten appearances on Have I Got News For You (BBC1).

Lucy Beaumont 

A hugely talented, award winning stand-up, comedy actress and writer. Lucy’s wrote and starred in Meet the Richardsons (BAFTA-nominated, running for five series), appeared on series 16 of Taskmaster and is the co-writer of the Channel 4 comedy Hullraisers

Pierre Novellie 

A local lad and podcast hitmaker appearing in Frank Skinner Off the Radio podcast and the hit Budpod podcast alongside Phil Wang which has over 5million downloads. His TV appearances include The Mash Report (BBC2) and Stand Up Central (Comedy Central) and Pierre’s first book Why Can’t I Just Enjoy Things? One of the UK’s most acclaimed live acts, Pierre‘s latest show Must We? saw a sold-out run at the Monkey Barrel at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and was his fourth show to have been placed in the top 20 best-reviewed comedy shows across the entire festival. He toured the UK in 2024.

Hosted by Chloe Petts, one of the most exciting and upcoming new voices in British comedy, fresh from her appearances in the likes of Have I Got News For You and Sky Sports News.

This night of laughs is your perfect post-race cool-down during one of the Island’s busiest weeks and a fast lane comedy fix you won’t want to miss.

IMPORTANT

• VillaGaiety are responsible for upholding the occupancy figures for the upstairs and downstairs areas which have been approved by the IOM Fire authorities. If you have an downstairs/ allocated seat ticket, you will not be permitted to enter the upstairs/ allocated seating area unless you’ve been advised by the Box Office or Duty Manager that you can transfer to an available seat. Likewise, if you have an upstairs/ allocated seat ticket you will not be permitted to enter the downstairs/ allocated seated area. Entry to these areas will be monitored accordingly by duty staff.

Booking fee 

• All ticket prices for live performances only are subject to a 5% booking fee, which will be applied at the point of sale to all purchases, whether made online or in person at our Box Office.
