Billy ‘Biketruck’ Ward to bring his one man adventure show to the Gaiety for TT 2024

Charley Boorman’s manager, motorcycle adventurer, TV producer and presenter Billy Ward is bringing his one man show ‘Riding a War Zone’ live to the Gaiety Theatre this TT - Sunday 2nd June.

Billy regularly leads motorcycle tours in Australia, Southern Africa, and Morocco but this show will tell the story of a quite different kind of journey – through a Middle Eastern war zone.

No stranger to the Isle of Man TT, this is Billy’s umpteenth visit here, in fact he has a 'walk past' appearance in the TT film 'Closer to the Edge' he brags with a smile, and he'll spend several days on the Island, soaking up the unique atmosphere that is associated with the most famous motorcycling event in the world. This will, however, be the first time he has taken to the Gaiety Theatre stage with a show that is a must see for all travel aficionados and motorcycle adventurers alike.

Billy said “I am really excited to be returning to the Island and bringing ‘Riding a War Zone’ to motorcycle fans from across the world. It’s a show where I talk about my work with Charley Boorman and Claudio Von Planta (Camera man from the Long Way Round), but specifically how I discovered Kurdistan on my ride across Iraq to Mosul at the Frontline during the war. The show will have moments of excitement and laughter, but inevitably it's hard hitting in places.’

Tickets for Riding a War Zone – An Evening with Billy Ward are available now at villagaiety.com, in person at the Villa Marina or Welcome Centre, or by calling the box office on 600555.
